I grew up in country Western Australia, where my father drove wheat trains. Those days were filled with adventures, running barefoot through the bush. We moved to the outer suburbs of Perth, and I attended high school in Victoria Park.
Working as an office assistant, I saved enough money for another adventure in the 70s. Sailing around the world on the grand old Liner Australis, living in London, planting potatoes in Jersey, and learning to ski on a Contiki tour to Austria. After that, I backpacked, with a tent and an Eurail train pass, around Europe with my now husband.
Returning to Australia, we raised our family and now have three wonderful grandchildren.
In 2012, Queen Mary 2 made her inaugural cruise circumnavigating Australia, and we joined her. After that, we travelled to London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. Then Covid hit, and we travelled around Australia, which is a truly amazing country.
I live in Secret Harbour, Western Australia, and I write from an Australian
